REVIEWS "The
world of Allison Watson is like a Florida dreamscape, perfect landscapes
rich with flora and fauna, lush vegetation and brilliant colors. She
is in many ways a contemporary Thomas Moran, mastering the light and
shadow to provide the viewer with a perfect scene - a believable scene.
Like Moran, Watson places the viewer in the picture, and the ease with
which we transpose ourselves within her work is a testimony to her skill
as one of the most accomplished artists in the region. Sunlight dances
throughout her pictures and water reflects the calm stillness witch
can be found in our rich Florida marshes and Everglades. She is one
of the few artists whom I wish would start some large scale works, but
that's only a wish for the future." "Allison's
approach to landscape from a spiritual vantage goes beyond a scenic
quality to a metaphysical level that embraces her love of nature and
her feeling about the outdoors as a sanctuary. As a gallery owner, as
a fellow painter, and as a friend, for me, Allison's professionalism
is beyond reproach. She has maintained a consistent level of quality,
finish, and detail in her work, with evidence of steady growth."
